Born in Vancouver, Canada. Now living in New York City. Vic Lippucci is quickly rising up to become one of the hottest comics in the biz. Nicknamed by his colleagues as “Pooch”, his stage persona is a mix of written material combined with his background in improv, which guarantees no 2 shows are alike. Vic’s performances make use of the whole stage and have been described as high energy, expressive and very physical.

"When performing. My biggest goal is to ensure the audience feels comfortable. The best feeling is when you can make a room full of absolute strangers feel like one big group of friends….that to me is a good show." - Vic Lippucci

Vic learned the craft from being introduced to comedy at a very early age. “I remember my Dad calling me into the living room one night when I was a kid. He told me to sit down and watch these two funny guys on TV”. Those two funny guys were the Smothers Brothers. Vic suddenly found his calling in life. From there Vic began learning the art of Stand-Up comedy by listening, watching and studying the art from some of the best comics in the business. Robin Williams, Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy to name a few have all influenced Vic and his style of comedy.

When Vic turned 17 he was asked to perform at his high schools talent show. Vic performed in front of over 600 crazy, rowdy high school students. That night Vic got bit by the comedy bug and never looked back since. Amateur nights and a lot of fine tuning were to follow. Road trips across the country and crappy bars which proved to be great training grounds were in Vic’s immediate future. In November 1997, just over a year into the Vancouver comedy club scene, Vic won the title: Vancouver’s Funniest New Comedian. The prize was the opportunity to perform at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, California. That weekend Vic shared the stage with many of Hollywood’s top TV and film comics. It was an experience that Vic would never forget.

In April of 2001 Vic won another title. The Just for Laughs Homegrown Comic Competition. The prize for this win was the opportunity to perform at the Montreal Comedy Festival: Just for Laughs. Which Vic was asked back to the following year. Vic has been asked to perform this year for the 3rd consecutive year in his career. A rare opportunity indeed. Vic will be performing at many different venues this year at the Festival, including the Gala Special which will be taped for TV to air this fall.

After the 2002 Montreal Comedy Festival, Vic pursued his lifelong dream by packing his bags and making his move to The Big Apple. Vic has carved his unique style of comedy at some of New York City’s most popular comedy clubs including Caroline’s, The Comedy Cellar and Stand-Up New York.

Besides performing on stage. Vic has ventured into many other aspects of the entertainment industry. From voiceover work to being an in house MC for the Trenton Titans Hockey Club in New Jersey. Vic has covered a lot of bases. Most recently Vic has produced and written his own radio segments titled “The New York Minute with Vic Lippucci”. A call in radio segment live from his cell phone in New York’s Times Square. In his 5 minute segments Vic with some help from passing pedestrians, covers any current events and issues from a New Yorkers perspective proving very funny, fresh and fast paced. It’s been catching on quickly with stations from all across the US and Canada quickly jumping on-board. Besides performing improv with New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Vic has recently applied his actor training to auditions for some of New York’s biggest casting agents.
