Toronto and Ottawa Shows
Monday, August 14, 2006 10:51 PM

I had a friggin blast these last 2 weeks.  I was in Toronto and got to headline the Laugh Resort.  It was so easy for me to fill the room on a long weekend during the Cabanna festival.  I now know how it feels to be the only white guy in Toronto.  We somehow managed to round up some hostages and Pooch got to perform as a headliner for the first time ever in T Dot.  Thanks Raf and Aga for taking me to "The Docks"  Where I learned how it feels to be the only guy without a six pack at an outdoor Rave!!  I thought "The Docks" was a patio where you sit down and drink beer for 7 hours like we do in Vancouver.  NOPE  I felt a little out of place untill the Stripper/Porn actress named Anastasia showed up "I just signed with Vivid Video"  (I heared that 300 times)  Pics will be up as soon as Im back in Vancouver.  OTTAWA:  You guys are great.  Thanks to all the people that came out and helped  pack Absolute Comedy.  I mixed it up Reallll nice so you kids  all got to taste some fresh cuts of Jokes.  I took pics with a group of women and I think one was Cyndi Lauper.  Any whoodle, those pics will be up soon.  Next week Im in Montreal.  Tell your friends.

THANKS OTTAWATONIANS
Tuesday, January 10, 2006 1:46 PM

Once again, Ottawa proved that it has an awesome sense of humor.  We sold out 4 shows this week!!  Its great when people come up to me after a show and tell me there friends told em to come check me out, or the parents who brought there sons down cause they heared about me through the grape vine.  A very sincere thank you to all of you.  I'll be taking 2 months off to write a new show.  Its very exciting, if you sign up to the site you'll be one of the first people to hear about it.  I'm gonna have to take 2 months off from stand up to get it done, so in the meen time take care, Ill see you all real soon.

HAPPY 2006!!!!

FORT LEWIS SHOW
Monday, February 07, 2005 4:02 PM

Hi everybody.  I was just lookin at some pics sent to me and I decided I have put this one up on my site.  After making it into the finals in the Seattle International Comedy Competition, I was asked if I would be interested in volunteering to do a show at Christmas.  The Totem Yaucht Club in Tacoma hosts an annual dinner for Army troops from the Stryker Brigade that are based out of nearby Fort Lewis.  It's so that the troops that are based soo far from there famalies and home can feel a little somewhat more festive during the holidays instead of spending it by themselves.  The Totem Yaucht Club in Tacoma has been doing this for years now and everybody volunteers there time and community sponsors help donate gifts and the food.  I was asked to headline a comedy show that night on Dec 23rd.  Many of the troops at the show were set to leave for Iraq the following week.  I was so honored to be asked to perform for them.  THe show went great, I gave it my usual 110% and added a little 40% on top.  I have never performed for a more appreciative and happy audience ever.  I tip my hat to these fine young heroes.  All the best to everybody I met that night.  You were all very respectful.  We wish you all come home safe.  Thanks again Stryker Brigade.   Pooch.

Happy 2005
Wednesday, February 02, 2005 1:19 AM

Hi Everybody.  Just wanted to wish everbody a happy 2005.  Lots of big things coming up this year.  So stay tuned and stay happy.  A special thanks to all the people that came out to the Red Cross Fundraiser last week at The Cellar.  It was a great show and a great cause.  Its nice to see my fanbase supporting both me and disaster victims. What a good group of people you all are.  So I'm gonna be in Montreal next week.   Im gonna be performing at The Comedyworks. Feb 10th, 11th and 12th.  Make sure you hit the showdates page for more info, and then grab a cheap ass flight and get your ass over there,   Trust me, It'll be worth it.  Also I wanted to mention I got some new Multi Media.  I did a internet Talk Show a week ago and I got a clip .  Its right here.  http://www.talk-show.tv/2005jan19p1.html  It was shot in Vancouver.  Watch it cause I totally harass Liz the host.  Also I finally posted some more pics fromm The Seattle Comedy Competition.  I came in 5th place.  I was happy cause I had some real killer sets.  When you consider it I cam in 5th out of 450 comics that submitted  ( I just made that # up by the way)  so Im proud to say I placed well.  Go to the Multimedia page to see some pics of  the things I did and saw for the 3 weeks of the competition.  Last but not least I have a clip in the VIDEOS section of Multimedia that is for Careers TV.  It stars my Mom and Dad.  My Dad of course famous for his Home Depot bit.    So long for now and all the best to all of you that were cool enough to sign on to my site.  Pooch

SEATTLE COMEDY COMPETITION SEMI FINALS
Tuesday, November 16, 2004 11:13 AM

So I made it through the pre-lims.  Now Im back in The Emerald City for the semi-finals.  Last week was a week of awesome shows.  I placed in the top five atta 16 comics in 4 of the 6 nights we performed.  We travelled over 2000 kms (1300 miles) in 5 days.  Simon King and myself are the only 2 Canadian comics to make it into the semi's.  Now its a battle to see who the top five comics from a list of ten will make it into the finals.  Im excited!!!!  Last week in the pre-lims I had the pleasure of competing with 15 of the coolest comics I've ever got to work with.  The most professional competitors Ive ever gone toe to toe with.  Working with such great acts can only make you better and when the going got tough, these kids brought it EVERY night.  they deserve a round of applause:  Alysia Wood, Dan Anic, Dan Moore, Darrin Meyer, Dax Jordan, Jeremy Greenberg, Jeremy Whitman,  Joe Klocek, Joe Larson, Julia Lillis, Kevin Shea, Matt B. Davis, Scott "Hecktow" Klatt, Simon King, and last but not least Susanna Lee.  Lots of small towns we saw and lots more to come.  Check out the photos of the competition under the Multi Media page.  Gotta Go.  Wish me luck.

PIZZA AD
Saturday, October 09, 2004 5:02 PM

Last week I was cast for this ad involving pizza. Go to this link and click on "view production service commercial reel" Its the one titled "Chicago Town Pizza". http://www.circleprod.com/production.asp I normally wouldnt be soo excited about it but this ad was frigggin hilarious. First off, a special hello and thanks to Louise at The Characters for being a super agent. The commercial involves a car chase through the streets of Chicago ( aka Vancouver) We shot the ad at night. It invovles green screen and alot of post production effects. Basically it takes place in the Starsky and Hutch era. I played the character of Officer Porper. My partner Jason played Officer Piggot. Together were 2 miss matched hard ass Chicago cops who chase down 3 bad ass mo fos and then take em down hard onto the hood of there piece of shit Camaro. All this while screaming, yelling and eating pizza. It was truly disgusting and Hilarious at the same time. Unfortunatly its only gonna air in the UK and Germany. But when I get a copy Ill definatly stick it in my VIDEO page. Heres some pics in the meen time..... Pooch as Officer Porper Pooch and Yvonne in make-up Amanda, Harold, Sonja and Pooch Jason and Pooch with Directors, Richard and Guy Receiving direction from Richard Pooch and Jason with Casting Director Ann Forry Cops and Robbers Officers Porper and Piggot on patrol

Saturday, September 25, 2004 6:18 PM

Hey Kids.  Pooch here.  Just wanted to say thanks soo much to all the funky folks who came out and laughed their asses off at Lafflines last weekend..  Myself and the other comics had an awesome time and judging by CD sales and the crowd response you all did too.  I just want to take a second to say thanks to the fans who have supported me and have spread the good word of The Pooch ( thats me) to all their friends, family, co-workers, ex's, lovers and enemies.  Without you guys, I'd be hooped.  Your support keeps this art form alive.  And if it wasn't supported, comedy clubs would shut down causing me to be broke ass poor, then my landlord would be forced to evict me. Then I'd have to live on the streets and Id be screwed 'cause I wouldn't be able to support my addictions to crack and Twizzlers ( the strawberry ones are highly addictive).  Anyways,  enough serious stuff.  Thanks again and sign the guest book.  Or Ill break into your house when your not home and dip your tooth brush into your toilet bowl and leave.  And you wouldn't have a clue it ever happened....... EVER!!! ciao.   Pooch.
